Explore the Pitch
The Universe Archive is a public reference to the people, places, organizations, lifeforms, technology, and history of Pitch Space. Entries are intentionally concise and filtered to avoid revealing story material beyond your selected reading status.
Worlds of the Pitch
The Places archive tracks inhabited worlds, colonies, stations, outposts, and other locations with recurring historical or story significance. Public entries describe locations in their ordinary or pre-incident state whenever later events would materially change the record.
Natural worlds whose environments, resources, or settlements shape the frontier.
Places built and inhabited by people, from planned settlements to communities surviving after corporate withdrawal.
Orbital stations, trade hubs, anchor facilities, relays, and isolated infrastructure beyond planetary surfaces.
Facilities and restricted places whose importance may exceed their physical size.
Some locations have no recognized public record under your current archive access. Others may gain supplemental historical blocks as additional stories are authorized.
Non-Sapient Lifeforms
Across settled space, non-sapient organisms are commonly classified under the Non-Sapient Lifeform system, abbreviated NSL and often called “Nessels” by crews and survey teams. The system measures practical danger to people, infrastructure, and operations. It does not judge whether a species is hostile by intent.
Organisms that pose little inherent threat and generally avoid people or equipment unless disturbed.
Species capable of causing injury or damage under specific conditions, often involving territory, defense, or containment failure.
Lifeforms considered a serious danger to people, facilities, or operations under ordinary encounter conditions.
Unverified organisms and biological anomalies are tracked separately and are not included in this public Lifeforms release.
Technology of the Pitch
Technology across settled space ranges from civilization-scale transit and relay networks to portable medical systems and planetary infrastructure. The public archive focuses on technologies that explain how people travel, communicate, survive, and build beyond the Core.
Drive systems for long-range transit, regional faster-than-light travel, and normal-space maneuvering.
Relay networks and advanced computing systems connecting ships, settlements, and institutions.
Technology used for stasis, diagnosis, biological isolation, and frontier medical support.
Environmental systems used to regulate and support habitable planetary conditions.
Some technologies appear only after the stories establish that they exist. Your reading status controls those records automatically.
Corporate Powers
Corporations are woven through everyday life across human space. They build ships, terraform worlds, maintain infrastructure, move freight, provide security, control data systems, and support settlements far beyond the reach of reliable government services. On the frontier, a corporate contract can be as important as a law.
The largest corporate powers operate across multiple systems and industries, with enough reach to influence settlement, infrastructure, trade, and policy.
Smaller than the dominant megacorporations, Tier 2 companies can still hold substantial influence within specialized industries and frontier markets.
Public records focus on what these companies are known to do. Internal operations, leadership detail, and deeper corporate histories remain outside this archive.
Historical Record
The public timeline follows the major events that shaped the modern Pitch, from the AI Rollback and First Contact through interstellar expansion, political realignment, the Core Wars, and the Grey Drift.
Artificial intelligence law, First Contact, Chulak integration, and the development of the Pitch Drive.
The rise of the major blocs, frontier independence, the Core Wars, and the treaties that reshaped interstellar governance.
Concorde, the Long Calm, renewed AI restrictions, corporate dominance, and the slow spread of the Grey Drift.
Some events remain sealed until the relevant story record has been authorized in your archive access.
This is a curated public chronology rather than a complete historical record. Minor incidents, local events, and restricted material are omitted unless they materially shaped the wider setting.
